The Social Seam was a third-year, winter semester group-based project, where students were to develop and design the first floor of The Robertson Building, located at 215 Spadina Ave. Students were asked to create a multi-use space that was inclusive to the surrounding multicultural community. The space was to adhere to the Ontario Building Code and principles of universal design. The following three spreads showcase floor plans and sections, along with various material finishes.

Concept - In order to make a tapestry, you need threads of varying colours to create a unique design. ‘The Social Seam’ weaves different uses and people together to create a system of social interaction and productivity.
